Hey @lottiecoxon as part of a hackathon, we are about to release the ability for users to build plugins.

These make it much easier for users to customize their PostHog. Obviously anyone can already do this by modifying our codebase, but plugins are a much, much easier way to do things like build custom logic around the product.

Would you mind creating an image I could use on the homepage to add a new strip for this? I will then include that in #504

I could see it being a computer with some code / something on the screen indicating they're able to edit their PostHog.

No reason not to have actual logos in it of some of the example plugins

In random order:

  • geoip logo from here
  • the S3 logo with or without the AWS logo
  • github logo, perhaps with a star over it (the idea is that you get an event in posthog when someone clicks the star button at the top-right of the repository)

Some feedback on the image:

  • I would remove the project selector, the "Installed" label, and the update indicators to push the feeling that this is an illustration not a mock-up.
  • The background of the page (#d2d2d2) is very strong, on the actual page we use #f2f2f2 or plain #fff

Which logos would people like to see on the plugins image - Is there a link/image someone can share with me ?

@mariusandra for these do I need to input info like this into them or shall I keep it as blocks for now?
(e.g. 'community, official, descriptions?)

  • geoip

  • the S3 logo with or without the AWS logo

  • github logo, perhaps with a star over it
