Comments
same here and had a force update on android. |
yaa.. ios also need update.. |
Posting what branch and ideally what commit you're running would give insight into the issue. |
State your problem better this is confusing. What? When? Where? |
all area... wait i give print screen.. |
Same issue. Did git pull on dev branch - now just goes from x coords to y coords. Niantic just did some update? |
No, my bot is running good |
I am having the same issue. Trying to figure it out as well. Not sure what is going on at the moment. The bot is not finding pokemon or pokestops anymore. |
Exactly the same issue as when the last API update on the server side kicked in. EDIT: It is now confirmed that it is a somewhat new type of IP-based soft-ban, and not (yet) and API update (sorry for the confusion). |
Ditto to what @AllYourBasesAreBelongToUs said. Bot is acting exactly how it acting when Niantic updated the API previously |
[14:30:03] Starting bot... my bot stuck. it was fine an hour ago |
Same stuff. [00:36:47] Walking from (34.0154572680268, -118.4987153638082, 0) to (34.0154572680268, -118.49934480661001, 0) (58.0144578609 m) |
Did you try upgrading requirements? |
ok let's see if people are already discussing this on the devoted chat server at: |
if you are using more than 1 bot/account in the same IP. your ip will get softban. please see this issue #3233 |
@AllYourBasesAreBelongToUs my bot is running correctly. Not an API update |
funny use more than 1 IP.. only me at my home lol.. before ok 3 days direct... |
It is a soft IP ban, not API change. Restart VPN service |
@Whosdaman Yes, it appears that you are right. It is weird that I had never encountered this type of soft ban before and that so many users encountered it just about now. |
Same issue. Is this a type of softban? |
After git pull, make sure to update requirements pip install -r requirements.txt You might need to delete the existing pgoapi first. It's in ./src/pgoapi from memory. Just chuck out the whole folder then run the pip command above. |
I agree with @Whosdaman This is gonna be so much fun at work tomorrow, I might have to turn down the free Wifi. |
mine ok already... yeahhhh!!!... dunno im just leave it, after many2 time cant find pokestop, now ok.. |
Waited 10 min and still nothing |
My ip ban just went away. Took about an hour. |
@DreadfulTom tested this with the same method and it indeed looks like an IP softban when you are using more than 1 account. |
@extink I'm not sure what triggers it though. The ban got removed after 1 hour. I've restarted the PokemonGo-Map (using 10 PTC accounts) and 3 bots (me, wife, son) and it's still working. Fingers crossed... |
@DreadfulTom maybe they are testing some stuff to ban people in the future. But at the moment everything is working fine again... |
Same here ip softban 5 bots. Then i used a VPN and it worked again about 1 hour then softban again. |
I was using PokemonMap with 8 accounts to search pokemons and then push them to Bot. After editing Bot config to not use "MoveToMapPokemon", shutting down PokemonMap window and restarting Bot everything is working fine. So it is higly possible, that they invented some IP filters. |
sameproblem for me. here is my config.json
|
@Nik0lashka is MoveToMapPokemon found in config.json? Can you elaborate your fix? so we can follow. |
@junibrosas not in default config.json.example, "MoveToMapPokemon" worker example is in config.json.map.example. I suppose the main ussue is in parallel working of session with PokemonGo-Map on the same computer with Bot, or in the same network. Guys from PokemonGo-Map alse having problems https://github.com/PokemonGoMap/PokemonGo-Map/issues/397. |
FWIW Using Anonymous VPN, was able to switch to different IP location to bypass the IP ban very effectively and for validation. |
@bjchristenson lets see if that will still work after 1hr and 30 mins.. but good idea though, I will try. |
I wonder if they are doing something clever like looking at the geographical distance between the API calls from the same IP address. I juts got an IP soft ban running 3 bots on 3 different accounts, all in different parts of the world. When the ban is lifted I will try running all 3 bots in the same location and see if I get banned again. |
Some info: Got banned after 3-rd bot connected(3rd continent). But 2 bots were successfully running on the same IP and 2 different continents for ~12hours. |
@junibrosas Further testing reveals that is a function of transactions per time by IP. One bot will run for hours. Ran 15 bots and had to cycle IP after about 15 minutes. @matwithers Cycling IPs around the world. Does not appear to be geography based on my testing so far. |
@bjchristenson I didn't mean cycling the IP addresses from different locations. I meant the bots being registered in different geographic locations from the same IP. I wonder why people using public access points in busy locations don't have issue. I would imagine some busy public locations offering free wifi access could have huge numbers of accounts logging in from the same IP address just from people using the official app - but in that situation all the accounts would be registering from the same geographic location. |
In my case it seems like the bot can visit pokeshops but no pokemon data is returned by the server.
|
@junibrosas have used PIA over the years with good confidence and success. @matwithers Ah got ya! My bots from the same IP are running around multiple geographic regions. |
That is an IP softban. Don't run bots on the same IP |
all bot same.. even my friend too...
