The D language fork OpenD seems still to be going on. In principle, we could support one or both of it's compilers (it seems to have one with Digital Mars back end and one with LLVM back end), once we're up to date with the forking point, which seems to be 2.106 (Timewise the fork could have been from 2.107 beta too but it seems they chose the stable branch) and they get their first version tag out.
Now, I don't personally have any plans to start using OpenD, and it's not a high priority - or necessarily even happening - for me to add support for it. But on the other hand it's pretty low-hanging fruit, and it'd be nice to say that both D variants support Nix and Nix supports both D variants. The reason I bring this up is to discuss, would OpenD support be welcome here if I, or someone else, ends up implementing it, or should it be it's own project?
