Add template to preview shortcode

Could it be possible to use template and placeholders (as for the embed code) to query events and display them ?

Example :

You can customize the preview template by duplicating it into your child theme at the moment.
Using shortcode content as HTML could be complicated for a lot of users.

What do you need exactly ? Can you explain your specific use case ?
