🎯 Objective

To establish a robust, clear, and predictable versioning approach that enhances our project's development workflow and communication.

The goals are to deliver:

  • Predictability: Create a transparent versioning mechanism
  • Efficiency: Streamline our release and maintenance processes
  • Clarity: Ensure all team members understand the versioning logic

Proposed Actions

  • Agree upon comprehensive Versioning scheme
  • Create a detailed VERSIONING.md document documenting the descission and define som guidelines

I recommend adopting https://semver.org/ - as this is a robust, standardized and externally maintained framework for software versioning.
