v2.0.0 Milestone 5
This version is the first version to have Emby Server support and it still supports Plex servers as well.
- Transcoding and Direct Play support.
- Emby - Multiple Profiles
- Sever Selection
- Fix many focus issues.
- Search functionality is working again.
- UI Adjustments to eliminate the need for using the Overscan compensation tool.
For Emby only unprotected profiles are supported. Full support for all profile formats will be in future releases.
While this is a milestone release, it should be useable on both the Amazon Fire TV and Android TV devices. This release does require Android 5.0 or higher, and tablet/phones are no longer supported.

Serenity for Android v2.0.0-M3
More under the hood refactoring, but here are the user facing changes:
- Fix crash when selecting the Settings option from the slide out drawer.
- Fix Video Playback crash on MiBox Android TV device.
- Implement Exoplayer for video playback and use for internal video player.
- Add basic support for Plex's Universal Transcoder. If Serenity determines it can't direct play a video it will use the Universal Transcoder.
** Support here is limited. Seeking does not work, but Pause and Play
** AVI files will always be transcoded as Exoplayer does not support the container format.
Serenity for Android v2.0.0-M2
This version addresses a lot of under the hood changes.
- Upgrade to Recycler Views
- Upgrade to Model View Presenter Pattern
- Updated Image Loading Library
- Update http libraries.
From a user stand point everything should be worked except the following:
- Long Click and the old dialogs currently don't work. These may be redesigned.
- Play Queues do not work (no way to add the items to the queue)
- Subtitles currently aren't detected.
- Google TV support has been dropped.
This version undergoes a lot of changes behind the scenes but should be stable for daily use.
