I am reposting this as a new issue at the request of the original author of bug #1043. The content does not differ from that issue.

1.71

Issue
I am unable to craft a usable Creative Builder's Wand. The failure mode is very strange, though. By placing and replacing the recipe's components, I can induce the table to generate what looks like a Creative Builder's Wand. However, if I ever click it without sneaking, it disappears and the original recipe components reappear in the crafting table. I've uploaded a video demonstrating the buggy behavior:
