Hello!

We are a community that wants too keep the legacy of a great library found to make our life better with Vue 3 and Google Maps.

Why this fork exists

Vue Google Maps Community Fork is a repository to keep the original Vue Google Maps repository alive. The original repository is great but it wasn't maintained as the community wanted, so we decided to fork it because many of us depends on it.

We tried to contact Fawmi many times in different ways but we never got an answer. He did a great job and I'm sure we will be able to talk with him about all the situation. All we want is to keep this library alive and better and I'm sure Fawmi would share the same feeling.

Fawmi's answer (21/12/2022)

Before I fork this repository, I tried to contact Fawmi via e-mail in 10/10/2022. He answered me in 21/12/2022 explaining the reason on why he is not being active. I won't put the entire answer here to preserve his statement, but this is the important part:

I'm happy that he is now in touch with the situation and I hope that we can keep the community strong! We wish all the best for Fawmi and we hope that he can contribute with his knowledge in the future!

Is this repository substituing Fawmi's?

For now, the main objective of this repository is to maintain the original. We never wanted to aggressively substitute it or prove anything, we want to make the original better and active.

How to contribute

The best way to help this library to grow is reporting bugs through issues and send PR's to improve it. Right now I'm just trying to make this library organized and healthy but I'll try my best to help.
