MeepCon, July 27-29: Advances in free FDTD modeling

Dear colleagues,

Our free/open-source Meep software for FDTD electromagnetic modeling, which began in 2003 as an internal project at MIT, has evolved into a full-featured Python-controlled simulation tool with many thousands of users, developers at multiple institutions, and features ranging from gyromagnetic and nonlinear media to freeform inverse design, with applications ranging from RF antennas and silicon photonics to exotic physics. This summer, we are pleased to announce MeepCon 2022, our inaugural international meeting of Meep users and developers.

What was initially planned as a small developer meeting has grown into a 3-day conference, featuring tutorial workshops (July 27), technical talks (July 28), and a developer hackathon (July 29). You can attend either virtually or in-person, and recordings will also be made available later.
