Correction Just so I'm clear (two weeks off make me forgetful), this looks identical to the B-case @slevis-lmwg
in LMWG#86.

Should we run LMWG diagnostics here? What should we compare to, #621 for consistency with AMWG diagnostics, or one of the LMWG FLT_2000 cases, like LMWG#78?
