If also relevant, this was experienced when serving at a subpath with PUBLIC_URL.

Couldn't find an issue with the code. Issue was resolved either by changing proxy caching or a SITE configuration change.

Reopening. Ensure this can never happen by adding a ?autologin=false param to the login page.
