What happened?

WebView2 size shrinks, when there is resolution change, just like connect / disconnect external monitors, change resolution, change dpi.

Importance

Important. My app's user experience is significantly compromised.

Runtime Channel

Stable release (WebView2 Runtime)

Runtime Version

131.0.2903.63

SDK Version

1.5.240607001

Framework

WinUI3/WinAppSDK

Operating System

Windows 11

OS Version

26100.1586

Repro steps

  1. Run app, wait until page load finished.
  2. Plugin an external monitor, then resolution change happens.
  3. See app webview2 ui, webview2 size is smaller than the window, as it should be full filled whole window.
    webview2-extended-display
