Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A common WHEA error record found in event viewer is a DEVICE_DRIVER_NOTIFY type with a storport signature. This record generally contains a mention to either storahci or stornvme and a mention of the drive involved in the event, however it seems as though there might be more useful information in this report that can be analyzed to determine the cause of the problem.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like some sort of documentation laying out the structure of this error record so developers can create tools to translate this error, and technicians can better understand these errors to troubleshoot and diagnose the failure involved.
Usually when I come across this error, I advise the person that they need to replace whichever drive is called out in the error record, however a user today has a machine where this error occurs in an identical pattern even after replacing the drive, motherboard and power supply, including clean reinstallations of windows between hardware swaps. Without having the information contained in this report, it is difficult to troubleshoot further without simply throwing ideas out there and hoping one sticks.
I am hoping that, with documentation, there might be other clues in the error record which can help identify the cause of these errors, especially if there are non-hardware related causes that might be able to be solved without spending money unnecessarily.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I don't believe any alternatives exist. Without Microsoft documentation, I believe it is impossible to fully understand this error record.
