Feature Request: Communicate what's loaded into RAM via the User Port #322

This is a feature request in response to the request MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer#492 . In that request it was mentioned that communicating what's in the ram with a PC is a core specific issue. @paulb-nl mentioned that this might be doable if we could offload the actual communicating with a PC part of the task onto something like an Arduino. So this request is just for the first 2 steps that are mentioned:

  • Give the core some way to freely read what's in RAM
  • Send this info over the User port via i2s/UART

This is a more specific request than #276 so I figured I would open up a new one. If that's not okay, maybe #276 can be closed or I can close this and post to that one.
