nametag/inventory hud render problems

Describe the bug

the inventory hud isn't properly updating item count and name tag doesn't seem to know where to put the number at.

Steps to reproduce

turned on inventory hud and saw it was changing item counts when walking near villagers
turned on name tags and it just seems to start tweakin item counts when a player was doing actions

1.21.4
