I feel this feature would be beneficial on Android for people who prefer to Multi-Task.

Yes. And also, allow the player to continue playback whilst navigating around the app and searching other content. Currently as soon as you navigate away from the video it closes. Player should minimize to bottom of screen and continue playback.
