I’m puzzled about some MAW wells that are showing a flow imbalance. For example, Well #1 has a well rate of -0.3721E+05 and a flow imbalance of -200% in period 125, step 8, according to the .lst file.
However, this well is inactive during this stress period:
The well rate that’s listed is the rate that was applied during the last active stress period, which was stress period 89. I’m wondering if this flow imbalance simply an accounting error by MODFLOW? GWF IN and GWF OUT are zero so it would seem so but just want to be sure.
