Cannot copy AMI from us-east-1 to us-east-2

Any time I try and copy the AMI I'm greeted with "You do not have permission to access the storage of this ami" even though its a Community AMI, any chance this can be added to us-east-2 region?

Even though it is a Community AMI it still has an owner who decides where an image is copied, which is why you're getting that error.

As it is common in these requests, going forward we will include the image in us-east-2. This will be available in the next build.

Ah okay, wasn't sure if there was something strange or I was doing something wrong. I was able to build the AMI for my private usage in us-east-2. Thank you much for including it in future releases.
