I would like to play these games in 16:9 aspect ratio on ultrawide displays. Currently it seems like the only option to play on ultrawide is either the entire game stretched to fill the entire screen or with the original 16:9 aspect ratio but with the screen on the left side of the screen with a huge black bar on the right side. It would be nice to play the game on the original 16:9 aspect ratio on screens that are wider than that with the game screen in correct place.
So if possible I would like an option added which enables the game to display on 16:9 centered on screens wider than that.
Is your proposal related to a problem?
Yes. The mod currently has ultrawide fixes but apparently they don't work if the user doesn't want to play on ultrawide but rather with the original aspect ratio.
Currently as in my case, if I set the output resolution to my screen which is 3440x1440 (21:9) and with internal resolution set to 2560x1440 (16:9), the game screen is on the left side of the screen in correct aspect ratio but with a huge black bar on the right. If I set both the output resolution and internal resolution to 3440x1440 or 2560x1440 it seems that then the game always fills the entire screen. I have no idea why it does this because I don't have the technical knowledge but this is the problem on my end. Ultrawide fixes on the mod are nice so far but this is something that currently seems to be lacking.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like an easy way to display play these games on 16:9 on ultrawide displays with the game screen situated at the center of the screen with black bars on left and right. This is the way these games were remastered by Bluepoint then and currently there seems to be no way to achieve this by the user (at least in my experience).
Describe alternatives you've considered
Sadly I have no idea about any alternatives.
