Hi everyone!

I've been working on some new concepts for canvases / strategizing within Leantime.

Is there anything you feel like you might be needing to help you build and innovate better?

One thing that's recently hit home is how we develop and think of empathy as a company. There are three primary types of empathy and we often operate in a knowledge based empathy. More recently, I've started to refer to it as an apathetic empathy, though, as we often strive to understand just enough to try to get what we want/need from the user as a business.

Building products with the user in mind, however, benefits from a deeper dive. The traditional "empathy" map outlines user perspectives but is rather limited to the conceptual theory of "in our users shoes."

Developing our users based on how well we "see" and validate them leads to a more comprehensive empathy -- one that promotes theory and feeling/relating to what others feel. Making this a persistent exercise throughout the organization also helps to keep culture alignment on what we're working towards.
