One of the most frustrating things about recording keyboard macros is when you have recorded say 25 key strokes, and you then accidentally do something that you can't easily get away from.

What would be a nice extension to the snippet recording feature is that I can do something like this:

  1. Start recording a snippet, go as far as I want in first iteration, then stop recording.
  2. Now play with the recording - try it in a few different places for example
  3. Then proceed recording into the existing script

This would also offer this variant:

  1. I record a script, and do something that didn't work as expected
  2. I stop the recording, delete the offending line in the recording
  3. I continue recording.
