Docstring of makedocs does not document the non-keyword vararg components

Themakedocs function has one method with the first argument being a vararg components.... However the docstring does not describe that argument.

That's for plugins, but the plugin APIs are bit up in the air right now (e.g. #1648), so we don't really officially support that argument yet.
