As discussed in JoseExposito/touchegg#467 some OSs, like NixOs, install Touchégg in a different prefix.

Because Touché looks for the default configuration at /usr/share/touchegg/touchegg.conf it will fail. Add a build flag to allow to configure this path:

-Dsystem-config-file-path=...
