Copyright Policy

tl;dr - All contributions to this project must be yours to give and adhere to applicable laws. If you find copyright violations, please contact us.

Contributions to any Deere-sponsored open source software (OSS) project on this site may be made by contributors or others not within Deere’s control. Deere is under no obligation to, and does not, scan content or contributions used in connection with this site for the inclusion of illegal or impermissible contributions or content. However, Deere respects the copyright interests of others. In Deere’s sole and exclusive discretion, it is Deere’s policy not to permit materials known or suspected by us to infringe another party’s copyright to remain on the site or in any Deere-sponsored OSS project.

Remediation

If you believe any materials on the site or in the Deere-sponsored OSS project infringe a copyright, you should provide Deere with written notice (which, in the United States must be in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”)) that at a minimum contains:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit Deere to locate the material;
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit Deere to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted;
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

All copyright infringement notices should be sent to Deere’s designated agent as follows:

Deere & Company (“Deere”)
Attn: Compliance Department, DMCA Manager
One John Deere Place Moline, IL 61265

Email: [email protected]

It is Deere’s policy to terminate relationships regarding content with parties who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
