Adding support would enable input to be disambiguated in processes
The kitty version acts as a superset of the original changes that fixes and adds onto the protocol to enable more features.
The protocol is supported by Wezterm, Kitty, and iTerm (only CSI-U, although does ref kitty)
This should probably be a config option however as it is technically a breaking change to the terminal protocol (Wezterm's docs on it)
