One thing I noticed when upgrading was that the hyphen is much smaller. This was problem for me, because I tend to look at a lot of text (source code) with the hyphen symbol. After searching through the issue, I see that there was a good reason for this change (#404, #318).
But as it currently is, the visibility of hyphen is too bad (especially on lower resolution screens). If we cannot make it 'wider', then can we consider increasing it's 'weight' instead?
In the screenshot, left side is Regular weight and right side is SemiBold. The right side IMO makes the hyphen significantly more easily visible.
