this Edit button applies to all the pages and all the fields at once.

i.e. when you click on this Edit button, every field in every tab (Metadata, Children, Variants, Editions) become editable

Recommendation:

It may be better to have an edit button beside each field (or at least per page) rather than making everything editable all at once
