JabRef master as of today.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have latex document with 0 citations
  2. Compile latex document
  3. Open bib in JabRef
  4. Create auto group "Group containing entries cited in a given TeX file"
  5. Group shows count 0
  6. Add 1 cite to the latex document
  7. Compile latex
  8. Click group on bibtex
  9. one entry shown
  10. group count still 0
