Sep 14 roadmap meeting

Meeting began with a discussion of the status/difference in UPEI and DGI's Institutional Repository Code. Some areas may dovetail - A different Shibboleth approach: http://drupal.org/project/simplesamlphp_auth. Put on the schedule for the next meeting.

Workflow: David to assign ticket to Kirsta when ready for documenting

Release Management:

• J.Green is focused on Drupal 7 module release (current sprint is focused on xml forms, pdf, simple image, and audio). Who will manage 6 releases going forward?

Paul has got full time work until December (two concurrent projects that need to be completed) so no availability for release management; same with Alan. If we move to rolling releases, we will need a more intense testing process, bringing in Melissa (and then modules will likely have to be released in batches).

Process??

Once testing and documentation has been completed by Melissa and Kirsta, a task goes into JIRA for packaging, and is dealt with in the weekly committer meeting, taken by any developer that can do it.

• If we take on rolling releases of modules, how do we keep sandbox and the VM updated?

Invite Gervais to the next Roadmap meeting to formulate a plan.

• What is the release schedule for Drupal 6 and 7 modules between now and Dec 2012?

• Documentation plan for the next release? - Kirsta granted admin access by Chris W.

• How does the Product Backlog fit into the roadmap, get reflected in JIRA, and get communicated to the wider community?

• Sprints at DGI are in their infancy; DGI's focus has not been on community. We should talk about the best way of doing that. For now:

David and Kirsta will have a short meeting (15 minutes) after each sprint is complete. Kirsta will draft a message/approach for communicating this to the community. She will circulate the first one to make sure that the Roadmap team is comfortable with the approach before going forward. First meeting Kirsta & David will take place on September 21st at DGI.

• Gervais and updating VM/Sandbox with rolling releases - invited Gervais to next meeting

Action Items

• Kirsta and David to meet after sprint - will happen as part of Friday sprint meetings at DGI
