Islandora Ambassador Group
Islandora Ambassadors are individuals who are current Islandora users available to help and support others in the community. They are available to assist with questions from others in the process of learning about the software and community, as well as directing people to the appropriate Foundation staff or documentation. Ambassadors abide by the Code of Conduct and support a welcoming atmosphere for others.
Ambassadors are easily identifiable and searchable within the community. At in-person events they have a ribbon or button with a dedicated colour (yellow). In Slack they have an emoji (that looks like this:
)
next to their name as well as are part of a group managed by Foundation staff that can be tagged in posts using #ambassadors.
If you are interested in becoming an Islandora Ambassador, know someone in the community who would be a great Ambassador, or have any questions please contact [email protected].
