• We recognized that we don’t have quorum, and we will not make decisions on key items for this meeting

• Overall goal is alignment and strategic focus across both groups

• We should/could frame that for us as a joint meeting event? See also: Topics List

    • Is it a roadmap? What does that word mean? Carries a connotation of commitment, can be dynamic.
    • The sheet was meant to help reduce duplication of effort
    • We should iterate on this as a first step: Islandora Community Project Dashboard
    • FAQ: is this a roadmap?A: no, it’s meant to bring visibility and encourage collaborations. The ICC and the LG hope this inventory informs roadmap efforts going forward. We hope others contribute to it.
  • Plan a discussion on this at the August Open Meeting? Remeber that a Roadmap is not a list of features…
  • Roadmap: how do we get this stuff to “Community” versions of these.
  • Roadmap is something that helps an institution plan and how they will contribute.
  • We feel the email to intro it basically ready to go. We’ll add the suggestions about “roadmap” definition above. Announce this is coming at June Open Meeting?

  • Prepare and share a survey to the community to gather feedback on both content and format for future events
  • Or could Rebecca be directly talking to institutions (the way that Melissa did as a community engagement role)? High touch versus passive. A census versus a survey?
  • Understanding active users (links on the site are broken)
  • If we are a contracting community, where are opportunities for growth?
  • Consortias that use Islandora?
    • Think of it as a pilot that Rebecca could undertake?
    • There have been discussion in the Board: cleaning up the dataset (the census)
    • Mark will take the Board and ask what the immediate plan
    • We DON’T want to duplicate efforts - it was more for fundraising rather than events. What questions to ask? Which entity asks? Make sure we align priorities across ICC and LG, we don’t have to come up with them right now.
    • Potentially a piece of Operations role? Fundraising?
• Discussion about overall regular timing of Con
  • Strategic focus from leadership?
  • Could we consolidate audiences and align the way Preservica is doing with SAA? Need to understand if they were going to attend both anyway? What/where are we missing by not looking outside our community to “hitch on” to other events. What brings value?
  • Drupal 10 and strategic planning
  • Planning could start in TAG, as they would be active.
  • Members have restrictions on their time for various activities.
  • Can inform decisions on technical things in front of them; not a lot time outside of the meeting.
  • They aren’t ready to chomp on big projects, but they are expected to.
  • Advisory: not the folks who do the stuff (tho could be).
  • The deliverables for bringing up to 10 are pretty clear; good candidate for using Fdn funds? Need Drupal and PHP knowledge.
  • Starter site has a similar need
    • Solicit bids? Mark will take to the Board; but be clear it may be a community project at the end of the day
• Islandora Foundation staffing -- ICC role?
  • Looking for some clarity on what the ICC plays
  • Staffing is a really critical decision
  • What gaps do the ICC see in current roles/responsibilities?
  • It is the Board’s role to deal with staffing but not without input
  • A future LG topic too
