Describe the bug

Updates from within the app work, but automatic updates don't work for me and I throw this error every time updates are checked. It says Error Checking for Updates as the title of the notification, and it further reads Failed Host Lookup and then mentions the hostname. In my case,

  1. api.github.com
  2. fdroid.org
  3. apt.izzydroid.de

To Reproduce

I changed nothing, but after some updates in the past, this started happening. I don't recall which one.

Screenshots and Logs

Please complete the following information:

  • Device: Moto Razr 40 Ultra
  • OS: Some modified version of A14, I'm not sure tbh. Since the name of an OS is not mentioned anywhere on the Phone.
  • Obtainium Version: 1.1.26

Additional context
As far as I can remember, this happened only after either when my phone got the new A14 update or after some Obtainium update.

I have that too. Exactly in this form. But I have Android 11. Until now, I didn't think that not finding the suitable version in the background, which works in the app, was relevant. But it seems I was wrong and it is relevant …

There are a few things to try to narrow down the cause:

  1. See if you have the same issue on an older build of Obtainium.
  2. See if your OS has any battery "optimizations" that may cause issues with background processes (if so, turn them off or exclude Obtainium).
  3. See if different network settings make a difference (different WiFi, mobile data, VPN off, etc.)

2 & 3 no. 1 should be a really old version. I'll have to see when I can get to it.
As a small hint: I have this primarily on https://apkpure.net
