T-Stick 5GW Updates - Jan 5th 2024

Hello everyone,
Here are the latest updates on the development of the 5th generation of T-Sticks.

First of all welcome to GitHub discussions.

Hardware Updates

• The custom ESP32 board has been dubbed the EnchantiS3 and the second revision is currently being tested. You can see a dashboard which features the status and battery information for the 5 boards I currently have here: https://stats.karame.io/goto/rAXsdhKSR?orgId=1

• Touch Sensor design has been mostly finalised waiting on 3D printed parts to ensure proper fit.
  

• New 3D printed parts for assembly have been designed should be printed and tested in the coming week.

• Work on the Enchanti Touch board as a replacement for the Trill board is underway, main features include an SPI interface for faster communication, multi channel scanning allowing a single chip to scan 60 channels in the same time it takes to scan 30 channels reducing the number of touch boards from 4 to 2 for longer T-Sticks. Both this board and the trill board will interface with the same 30 channel touch sensor using a 32 pin FFC connector.
  

Software Updates

• Working on adding support for the USB serial JTAG monitor used by the EnchantiS3 boards and adding functionality to save variables to Puara during runtime, should be done by the end of the Month
