Back in the world of Macintosh, you could easily change a generic folder icon to any gif or small image. You could view the properties of a folder, see a folder icon there, you could copy paste an image into that square and it would update the folder's image. Copying the folder copied the icon as well. It would be a great QOL feature.

Totally down to do this. The more extensible the better. I personally don't have time to do it right now, but let's leave this here and maybe somebody picks it up soon. Otherwise, I'll do it when I have some free time.

Hi! I have a small question, where do all the icons that Puter uses come from? Or are they all made by contributors?

The icons in this repo come from different open-source icon collections. The ones in puter.com are a combination of open-source and premium icons purchased from different places.
