Space bar text customization #956
Comments
I think it'd be cute to have your own little message on the space bar 😌 |
@N3xtery can you provide some more explanation? |
Each layout has its language name written on the space bar. In this example it's "English". I suggest it should be possible to change it to something else |
Totally agree 👍 |
OK, so just replace the text. |
Just was looking for this today, I have a lot of languages on the space bar... Any implementation around this would be appreciated! |
We can only hope that this enhancement will be available in the next release. |
@Helium314 |
this seems to be closed so i assume its working, but i have no idea how to change the text 😭 ive been searching for an hour |
@julius-gmeinder |
aaah that explains it. thank you |
Is there a tutorial on how to compile? |
@N3xtery |
For a debug APK this is very simple: just fork the project on GitHub (button near top right on page), go to "actions" on your fork and run the "Build debug APK" workflow. After a few minutes you can download the APK. Alternatively you can wait for the next beta I plan to release tomorrow. |
Glad you're back! I downloaded the beta, it works, but I expected the space bar text would be customizable per each layout, not globally |
