Have started some development, but still need some help/resources to complete the specification. Specifically, a full stack Python developer who can build out the Ontology SDK.

Naveen update: working on the development for SCI Ontology, going slow and will need support from a python developer, and plan to have a release in March/April.

@navveenb Waiting on OC to be formed to review a Python developer request.

Update: we're in the process of hiring a couple of developers to help support this. By the next meeting, we should hopefully have hired these devs. OS committee will determine their priorities/focus areas.

Demo was done today - exciting stuff!
Does it include embodied emissions? Yes, it does.
Is the source code published? Not yet, will be.

Next steps:

• based on the requirements, planning to extend the tool to support more scenarios.

The GitHub page, source code, and sample test scripts are updated on https://github.com/Green-Software-Foundation/sci-open-ontology. Working on detail requirements to be provided to the developer.

WG discussed CarbonQL and potential for this and SCI Ontology to merge; @Sealjay mentioned @Willmish's concerns around language efficiency on Python v Rust.

@seanmcilroy29 -- believe the developer has been hired, and should start soon on supporting this project.

@navveenb -- please update here with any other progress since the last OSS WG call.

WG update: Update from @navveenb - current focus is on IEF; not clear whether we need SCI Ontology, or focus purely on IEF. SCI could focus on UI and visualizations for IEF. Working on @navveenb and will loop back after first release, or using this project to generate ontology.

Loop back in 4-6 weeks.
