I came across this blog post from a famous climate scientists who quantified the relation between kg CO2 released and kg glacier ice melted.
This could be an IF plugin that takes in gCO2 from e.g. SCI and applies the coefficient to convert it into kg of ice per functional unit.
The relation is: 1 kg of carbon emitted as CO2 will ultimately melt about 2,400 kg of ice
Here's the source: https://kencaldeira.wordpress.com/2018/03/24/how-much-ice-is-melted-by-each-carbon-dioxide-emission/
This could be implemented following the existing
energy-network
plugin as a template, as that model is a simple multiplication by a coefficient too.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
