Plans for additional components?

Are there any plans to add additional google maps components, especially support for overlays and geoJSON?

Also, any plan to update the google maps components to Polymer 2.0? I understand that these are already compatible with Polymer 2.0 (I have tested and they work ok). It would be helpful however to have some google maps components as Polymer 2.0, to be able to use these as a reference for developing additional google maps components.
