So from Android>=12 you had to switch to no-secure display because google, but instead of using shell user could you use the root user to achieve that? So it would solve #36 even for newer android versions. With root would be possible also to bypass drm applications like Netlix and such maybe? It would be awesome

I'm not sure root is sufficient in itself. You could try: run adb root before running scrcpy, so the server will be run as root.
