Honestly I think maybe not. Need to not forget that we are creating (well, extending) a maintenance burden. |

I would say yes because research about Mars are very hot recently. |

Since this should hopefully be automated via recipes etc it may not be that a much maintenance, but we clearly need to make this a one-pus-button operation - right now there are too many steps. |

I was thinking more to when we'll need to relocate the data in current gmtserver. |

I agree with Joaquim that you have to be careful with adding more data because later you will have to do maintenance. But, in this case, I think that the biggest effort will be only at the beginning. I don't think it will involve much work once the data is on the server. At least this seems to me based on what happens with the blue/black marble data. |

I still think you are failing to see my point. And what about we'll need to find a new server? |

Ok, I see your point now. But I think we could have that issue anyway. And the main issue would be the earth dems which are very big while the moon mosaic is 506 MB.

Is it possible to move this to "Discussions". I think that it is better place to put this instead of here (with the other issues). |

Maybe @seisman or @maxrjones knows how to do that? |

Yes, I'll transfer this issue and for future reference: once per repositoryin https://github.com/GenericMappingTools/gmtserver-admin/settings, enable discussions: for each issue |

I wonder if we should add the satelite mosaic of others celestial bodies (just like the NASA blue/black marble). Let me know what you think. I could do it if we agree.
