Birthdays come back after deletion

Steps to reproduce the bug

• Select "Add contact birthdays" from the menu.
  They are imported and the "Birthday" event type & tab appears.
• Go to Settings > Manage event types > Birthdays > ... > Delete > Permanently remove affected events
  Event type and tab is gone.
• Force-close app, and re-open
  Birthdays are back. A message saying "successfully added birthdays" or something like that can sometimes be seen.

Expected behavior

When event type is deleted it should stay deleted

Actual behavior

To permanently delete birthdays its necessary to select "Add contact birthdays", then deselect "add new birthdays automatically" and then delete the event type once more.
