2. Enter a phone number without the + prefix or with formatting characters (e.g., (201) 867-5309).
3. Verify the system rejects improperly formatted phone numbers.
4. Confirm the error message is displayed for invalid input.
5. Verify the error message reads: “Please enter a complete phone number (e.g., +1-(201)-867-5309).”
6. Enter a valid phone number with the + prefix and formatting characters (e.g., +1-(201)-867-5309).
7. Enter a valid phone number without the + prefix (e.g., 2018675309).
8. Confirm the system accepts valid phone numbers with or without the + prefix.
9. Verify the system ignores non-numeric characters during validation.
10. Ensure no error message is displayed for valid phone numbers.

As per this expectation, can we input AAABBB . #? For example: +1-(201)-8. # 67-5309).AAABBB. Currently, I have implemented it to allow this and will format the correct phone number after submission. What do you think?

I think we should only accept numbers and a few supported characters for phone numbers, such as + . ( ) -, as it still satisfies the expected result with the current approach.
