Tasks

Plant attributes can be propagated from concrete plants to higher ranks, if they have a consistent value across all lower ranks.
E.g. if all plants of the 'Brassica oleracea' species have the same water_requirement, we can set that water_requirement value directly for the 'Brassica oleracea' species.

If not all, but most, plants of a species share an attribute, moving that attribute to the higher rank, might still be an option. Plants with conflicting values would keep their values and not inherit the values of higher ranks.

This task is about creating a statistic to find out more about the current data situation.

For example:

  • How many attributes are consistent for a species or genus and can be moved directly to higher ranks. (including / excluding NULL values)
  • How many attributes are almost consistent (using some threshold value) and could be moved directly to higher ranks.
