Temporary disabling by CapsLock causes confusion #31
Comments
@jarzec I think you are right. The CAPS LOCK is not ideal. |
@jarzec it will be a lot of work to create a setting where you could assign a key binding. The alternative is to switch CAPS Lock with Scroll lock. The only issue is that not all laptops have Scroll lock. @eduherminio, @giggio: What do you think about this change? |
/cc @tendimensions |
And can you do key combinations easily? Ctrl+CapsLock or Shift+CapsLock would do for example. |
I'm fine with changing it to something else. Key combinations will not work, as we would have to press the key combination, and at the same type save: Ctrl+CapsLock + Ctrl+S. |
I'm afraid I can't agree with Scroll Lock option, due to not having it in my laptops and some of my keyboards. |
Same thing, we have some keyboards without num lock. Doh |
This is more of a suggestion / feature request than an issue report but...
I had a issue with the extension seemingly not working and I spent quite some time figuring out why. Fortunately I stumbled upon your explanation of how to pause it using CapsLock...
Believe it or not, but I sometimes actually use CapsLock for its main purpose, hence the issue. Would it be possible to remap the extension pause to something else? I saw you yourself mentioned ScrollLock somewhere.
In an ideal world it might even become a configurable shortcut, but I guess this is more work...
BTW. Thanks for the great extension :D
