As subtypes of "data use modifier" with:

primary use: data use restricted to research on the same indication/disease as that of the research which produced the data.
secondary use: data use restricted to research but the topic of which can be indication/disease distinct from that of the research which produced the data.

Informed Consent Ontology has a secondary use term (ICO: http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/ICO_0000181) with the following definition: A planned process that involves a human biological specimen originally collected for the purpose of treatment or a different investigation.
