I'm thoroughly new to rust as well (first ever systems language), but pretty keen on Sanity, so I'm sure at some point I'll be along to consume/contribute to this project!

Looking forward to my next opportunity to put this to use.

I'm new to Rust also, but pretty good in PHP.
How about starting with the official PHP library and writing that in Rust?
