I use mint and if I click on PhotoGIMP it just don't start

The PhotoGIMP.desktop file works only with the Flathub version of GIMP. If you installed GIMP otherwise you have to edit the EXEC=… line in the PhotoGIMP.desktop file. If you have not installed GIMP it's no wonder when it does not run.
