Isolated Web Apps is related to Subresource Integrity and PWA manifest. It provides a missing security layer that native apps have, which is signed updates to the app. A notable example is Signal's refusal to implement a web version of their app due to this missing piece. It would be interesting to see if other developers also avoid building web apps due to this.
