The SMS notification shows Unknown , where as the default Android notification identifies the user from the contact list.
The SMS notification does not shows the message content as the regular Android notification. (This is not a bug, but if the application can be kept in-line with the Android notification, it would be great).
Thanks

I can partially confirm this on a Motorola Droid 2 running Android 2.2.
For regular text messages, everything works fine, but for SMSs that came from an email-to-text bridge, it fails to match the contact. Presumably, this is because there is no proper phone number to match, but rather it needs to match an email address. In addition to causing the display to show Unknown, it also results in skipping the contact-specific notification settings.
My use-case is that I am using my text messages sent to my phone as a pager for work, so when friends text me I want a fairly subtle notification, but when the automated systems at work text me I want it obnoxious enough to wake me up.
