Disable notification repetition in car mode

It'd be nice if there was an option to disable repetition of notifications while in car mode. I don't mind the initial notification telling me I have a new text message or voicemail, but since I'm not going to acknowledge them until I'm done driving I end up having my phone buzz at me every two minutes until I'm done driving. It gets a bit old. :-)

I would like it if Missed Call would disable repetition of notifications while in car mode (and then resume notifying once car mode is disabled and I get out of my car). Would that be possible?

I have a Nexus One, if that makes any difference (or I can help you with testing).
